Over the past year, the beavers have responded rapidly and forcefully each time we attempted to clear the culverts. However, the culvert protection cage we installed last week, seems to have given them reason to pause. This abbreviated video shows what they beavers have done in response to our latest actions. A longer version with additional background information can be viewed here.
I'm glad the beavers have a friend in you, Art!
ReplyDeleteWhich wildlife camera did you order? There are so many choices, I got completely overwhelmed. We had one donated, and the squirrels took the bungee cords that tied it to the tree, so it fell off. Lesson here...use something tougher to chew than bungee cords!

ReplyDeleteI did some quick research within my budget (key word budget) and settled on the Bushnell Trophy Cam. It has good resolution, a black flash, and excellent customer reviews.

Great tip about the squirrels! Now if you want a wish list, I would love to find a bucket of money and get about a half dozen of these wireless puppies, placed around the pond, and networked to my computer.
